Use Azure DNS to host your Domain Name System (DNS) domains in Azure.
Manage your DNS records using the same credentials, and billing and support contract, as your other Azure services.
Your ability to log in to your account at your domain registrar and create the DNS record proves to Office 365 that you own the domain.
Now that you've added the record at your domain registrar's site, you'll go back to Office 365 and request Office 365 to look for the record.
add record: www2; 10.2.3.1; update reverse = Yes 4.
add record: www3; 10.2.3.3; update reverse = Yes 5.
Because PTR records are generally set with your hosting provider, when hosting on a Linode, you will always set the reverse DNS within the Linode Manager, using the method detailed below.
For more information about PTR records and DNS in general please see our Introduction to DNS Records guide.
add record: www4; 10.2.3.3; update reverse = Yes (and replace existing) 6.
DNS lookup does the opposite by resolving an IP address to a designated domain name.
You should always set the reverse DNS, even if your Linode hosts more than one domain name.
